ISD's elected Associate Board member provides an important linkage between ISD's Associate members and the Board of Directors. The committee assists in establishing open communication lines between members and coordinates the assignments of exhibit booths at the annual ISD Supplier Showcase exhibit program.

Events Committee

ISD's Events Committee provides input and ideas to the association Staff regarding program topics, content, presentations, and speakers for the annual ISD Sealing Summit and other identified programs.  This committee also coordinates member involvement and support for designated programs at seminars and the Summit.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee, chaired by association president and including the officers and staff director, acts on behalf of the full Board of Directors between normally scheduled Board meetings. Under the leadership of the immediate past president, the committee oversees the annual nomination and election process, guided by Board approved procedures, to recruit eligible members to serve on the Board of Directors. The committee also manages the annual operating budget and the association’s investment portfolio and produces monthly and quarterly finance reports and the annual audit.

Membership Committee

The Membership Development Committee reviews all applications for membership, assisted by a two-person review panel and region captains covering the entire US and Canada. The committee conducts an annual recruitment campaign and advises the Board on matters of membership policy and procedure.

In addition, the Membership Committee oversees the development and delivery of a variety of member resources, including the Certified Fluid Sealing Professional (CFSP) Program, the CEO Forum program, the Emerging Leader's Initiative (ELI), and a variety of educational member services provided through the association's InfoCenter, on display at the Annual Meeting.  With the support of its vendor partners, ISD provides members with a competitive edge.

Through its support of collaborative efforts, including the Association Education Alliance and the University of Industrial Distribution, ISD is able to offer valuable training opportunities and access to important information and services.

The committee also produces the annual ISD Industry Survey of Compensation & Key Performance Measures, a comprehensive comparative report of distributor operations, designed to provide useful benchmarks for member firms to gauge their firm's success.

Technical Committee

 ISD's newTechnical Committee oversees and supports key association programs that leverage Distributor-Associate teaming to enable technical education for the membership, identifying  areas where technical education, insights, etc. from our Associates would have the most impact and value for the membership. Deliverables include the Sealing Your Success e-Seminar series, any technical content at the Summit, and the CFSP program.
